Would it be possible to buy a used Guild Wars game say from ebay? Or will there be a problem with the license? I've already bought GW Prophecies digitally.

No, once a key is used it's bound to an account. There is no way to unbind it and re-use the key, also trading/selling/buying accounts is against the EULA.

Buy digitally or unopened boxes only. Never ever buy used.

Unless you are solely interested in the actual box and its contents (dvd, book, etc), a used box is totally useless.---do not buy!!!!

Because they want money as Ittybitty pointed out and because there are many people who will fall for their scam. They will send all the contents that came with it except the key you need to actually get the account. If the key is for some reason there, you will get the message that the account has already been activated. Uneducated people=Easy money

People will sell their used underwear on ebay! (say EWWWWW with me).

so its good to be an informed consumer--even when it comes to video games. (so OP it was good that you asked before buying).
